Job Title: Associate Solicitor/Partner Department: Commercial Property Name: Branch: Uckfield or Hove Date: August 2017 Reports to: Head of Department PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To provide highest quality legal advice on commercial property services and in particular on landlord and tenant law leases. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (List 3-4 areas by which performance can be measured – i.e. client satisfaction/ volume and accuracy of work/ efficient and timely production of work/ achievement of targets – time recording/billing etc/ achievement of marketing activities etc) Assisting the Department and branch team to attain the Department’s Strategic Plan Objectives and Key Performance Indicator Targets (Achievement of Billing / Chargeable hours/ Fee Income/ Recovery rate targets) Providing top class quality service to clients and other professional contacts at all times. Consistent accuracy, efficiency and volume of work produced Efficient and timely production of work. KEY RESULT AREAS (List key duties/responsibilities of the role) To providing end to end legal, technical and practical skills to the highest quality. Advising on property matters in particular negotiating and preparing leases and easements. Drafting leases, tenancy agreements, sales and purchase agreements, deeds of surrender and any other documents to suit specific client’s needs. To achieve monthly and annual fee earning and other KPI targets as per the Department Plan To advise and manage client expectations in specialist subject To assist with marketing events To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone in a professional and efficient manner Becoming fluent and proficient with, and engaging in the Department’s day to day work; the case management system and other software applications. Dealing with all parties having contact with the firm in a timely professional and efficient manner To ensure the Organisation’s quality file management procedures are accurately carried out including timely use of checklists, E-filing, and timely filing of all paper correspondence, attendance notes and time records. To adhere to all quality standards To make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain your own diary using the Microsoft Outlook calendar system.
