Purpose of Role To provide a consistent contribution to the management of the Corporate department and the ongoing development of the firm’s business, including introducing new business to the Corporate department. To effectively manage own workload and that of others, including supervision of junior team members on specific matters or projects. Maintaining responsibility for sharing expertise in order to support the development of the department as a whole. Duties Whilst not exhaustive, typical duties of a Partner will include: Introducing new business to the Corporate department; Actively building and developing existing client relationships; Independently producing well drafted legal documentation; Staying up-to-date with critical corporate law developments; Recommending solutions and giving guidance to those less experienced as appropriate; Being aware of costs and delegating appropriately; Leading the billing process and fee discussions; Maintaining and developing own informal network of contacts; Regularly participating in and initiating marketing initiatives such as attending client events, preparing and delivering pitches, giving presentations and acting as a positive ambassador for the firm; Following the firm’s procedures for recording time, managing files and complying with AML regulations. Rosenblatt are seeking a solicitor to work alongside a Corporate Partner in our non-contentious Commercial/IP/Technology/Media arm. The ideal candidate will be 4-6 year pqe and as the role will involve working for a small team of only 2, they will need to be looking for real ownership and accountability (and a desire to grasp the need to be the Partner's right hand person).  Candidates from either in-house or private practice will be considered, however Rosenblatt wants to emphasise the level of pqe and where private practice, a high level of direct exposure to clients and variety of work.  Candidates whose previous experience is very media heavy may not have the general technology and data understanding required for the role, however, some media experience would complement the key technology/data exposure we are looking for.  Previous experience sought to include: -Drafting, reviewing and advising on a range of commercial contracts, manufacturing, distribution, introduction and other agreements; -Protection and exploitation of intellectual property including licensing, TM coexistence; -Software development, systems integration, outsourcing agreements; -Franchise agreements; -Data protection compliance and advice, including a good knowledge of the GDPR; data sharing and processing agreements; -Drafting terms and conditions for a variety of online and on-premises T&Cs, privacy policies;  -Warranty and disclosure advice in corporate transactions. Salary up to £70k plus a benefits package to include 27 days holiday, contributory pension scheme (3% employer contribution), Death in Service (2x annual salary), Season ticket loan and Childcare vouchers.
