The main purpose of this role is to assist a solicitor in providing quality legal advice and other legal services to the firm's clients. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall profitability of the firm, with particular reference to providing efficient, cost effective work and contributing to practice development through marketing and selling strategies in accordance with the firm's relevant policies.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, with good client care skills, and willing to work hard in a fast paced environment.
The role will involve processing claims received from the providers and also claims received through the legal helpline and ensuring that all SLA deadlines are met. The role will also include keeping regular contact with clients and collating documents required for the assessment process, as well as assisting the solicitor in most stages of running a case, from calls to the client, preparing a claim/defence, trial bundles and lists of documents, schedules of losses and witness statements.
