DWF are looking to appoint a Senior Paralegal within the Resolution Law Team in Liverpool. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience working on, or understanding how, a complex, large loss case would proceed to successful resolution.

A rare opportunity has become available in our Resolution Law team for an experienced Senior Paralegal dealing with high value, complex, Fast Track and Multi Track Clinical negligence, EL/PL and RTA claims.
Most cases in the Team will arise as a result of RTAs. However, the role will also cover EL/PL and Clinical Negligence claims from a blue chip pre event Legal Expense Insurer.
In addition to claims involving significant issues of quantum, you will also be handling/assisting claims relating to Fraud, LVI, Employers Liability, Occupiers Liability, Public Liability, Complex RTA, or Clinical Negligence.
The team handles the more technically challenging cases in the department some will involve Portal cases where a 2nd or 3rd specialist medical report is required.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience working on, or understanding how, a complex, large loss case would proceed to successful resolution.
Experience and/or aptitude to identify and understand specialist and complex medical issues and have an ability to communicate well with lay clients.
To understand and be able to advise the client on the funding options available, complete Risk Assessments and draft CFA’s. To review medical evidence and instruct relevant expert(s) advising the client on any recommended treatment. Consider tactical approach when assessing value of the claim and issue court proceedings where necessary.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of technical and commercial expertise in the above areas to deliver results within required time frames. To provide exceptional service levels to external clients whilst demonstrating and communicating a clear understanding of business needs/changes to internal clients.
To work as part of an 8 person team that handles large, complex and/or more technical challenging cases within Resolution Law.
