Pinsent Masons is a leader in the life sciences arena. The firm is currently looking to recruit a part qualified / finals standard patent attorney as maternity cover to join its life sciences team. The patent attorney will have an enthusiasm forgaining greater experience of the practical and technical elements of life sciences patent litigation, including oppositions before the European Patent Officel. The candidate will have been working in a well regarded firm or industry position having a strong life sciences practice, have experience of handling patent applications in the biotechnological and / or pharmaceutical fields, but must also be willing to work on matters in the broader chemical field. Experience of opinion, due diligence and / or contentious work would be advantageous.
A first degree in the chemistry or biotechnology fields is essential. The candidate will have real ambition and will be able to work effectively in a team. The role will involve principally supporting one Partner in the London office.
