The Distressed Debt, Restructuring & Insolvency practice provides prompt and reliable advice on all aspects of rescues, reconstructions, receiverships, administration, liquidations, distressed debt and international insolvencies. The practice is highlighted in Chambers 2015 as having a “strong reputation as a versatile practice capable of acting in all areas of insolvency and restructuring” and are again noted in Legal 500 2014 for our “strong reputation” in the market.


In 2016 we were shortlisted by Legal Business as Restructuring Team of the Year and by Legal Week as Banking, Finance or Restructuring Team of the Year.


The role:

We are recruiting for a senior lawyer to play an integral part of our Restructuring & Insolvency team in either our London office or our Bristol office. The ideal candidate will be 4 years + PQE level and have a credible background in Financial Restructuring and Insolvency.


We are looking for a talented and technical lawyer who has the ambition and aptitude to embrace our first class client base and apply their knowledge and skills to a varied role.

The successful candidate will be exposed to a varied workload and be involved in building on the practice and networking.


The role could be based in either of our Bristol or London offices, but could involve travel between the two for team/firm events, training and general development as well as client meetings.   The role may also require travel from time to time to our offices/locations abroad.



Person specification:

  • Excellent academics.
  • Applicants will ideally have 4 years’ post qualified experience in a Restructuring and Insolvency practice which will have been gained at another leading City/national or regional practice.
  • Strong client focus with an ability and willingness to get actively involved in marketing and business development.
  • Commercially driven.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
