Our life sciences and healthcare team, with members across our European offices provides a broad range of legal assistance to medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as to regulators and to telehealth, e-/ m-health and care providers.
Our life sciences team is represented in all of the countries in which we operate. We work with our network of specialist lawyers in other EU countries and provide a commercial, solutions based service helping medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to compliantly get their products onto markets across Europe.
Many members of the life sciences team teach on the Cambridge University Masters of Bioscience Entrepreneurship (MBE) course, helping students intending to enter the biotech industry to understand the potential legal issues in developing a business in this sector.
We are seeking a talented lawyer to join this growing and forward thinking team.Responsibilities
You will be advising clients in the life sciences sector on regulatory, compliance and commercial matters, including complex IP licensing transactions.
The transactional element of the life sciences practice involves licences of intellectual property rights (patents and know-how), other commercial agreements such as distribution, manufacturing, clinical trial and a whole host of other specialist agreements so you will be expected to have strong drafting skills and the ability to work autonomously.
The regulatory part of this role involves work on advertising and promotion of devices and drugs (including anti-corruption elements), as well as the regulation of their authorisations and of clinical trials. This work will involve advising the clients on issues and solutions to achieve their commercial goals and also dealing with regulators where there is disagreement so strong client management skills are essential.Key Skills & Experience
