The Team

The Corporate Group acts for a wide range of clients in all industry sectors ranging from multinational companies and government enterprises to entrepreneurs.

Due to continued Firm growth we are looking to recruit a talented corporate solicitor to join this market leading team.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the partners and involving high levels of direct client contact, the work is likely to include:

  • M&A and transactional work for UK, European and US clients
  • Experience with foreign investment and technology clients
  • Joint ventures – UK and international
  • Venture, development and early stage capital raisings for private companies (NB: there may also be the opportunity to gain some public company / capital markets experience although the group has a specialist ECM team)
  • Some private equity work for UK clients
  • Establishment of UK operations for overseas clients
  • Drafting, especially of sale and purchase agreements, joint venture, subscription and shareholder agreements
  • General corporate work
Key Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be a qualified mid-level lawyer with 3-5 years' post qualification experience at a City law firm which is recognised for its corporate practice in some or all of the above areas of work.

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • Familiarity with the requirements of overseas clients, particularly those located in the US and across the Asia Pac region.
  • Demonstrate M&A / private equity / venture capital and joint venture experience, particularly across various technology sub-sectors and a range of clients from start-ups to established multinational bluechips.
  • Minimum of a 2.1 (or equivalent) degree
  • Relevant ‘hands-on’ work experience, ideally gained in the UK
  • Client facing experience, gained partially through client secondment(s)
  • Proven project and time management skills
  • A confident and professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Salary Range               £80,000 - £95,000 per annum
