Our Residential team now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join the team in Newcastle.  The team act for a number of corporate investors, national house-builder and social housing clients, specialising in the sale, purchase and management of residential investment portfolios and the acquisition and disposal of commercial and residential sites across the UK.  However, this role will see you working, predominately, with corporate investors.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with all aspects of the purchase process including title and lease reviews, ordering, reviewing and reporting on pre-contract searches, reporting to and updating clients, post exchange steps and post completion formalities

  • Assisting with all aspects of the sales process including drafting and preparing draft contracts, assembling sales packs, dealing with pre-contract enquiries, reporting to and updating clients, exchanging contracts and completions sales

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll have significant residential property experience and ideally a background working with tenanted properties.  Experience in the residential investment market, whilst desirable, is not essential though what is essential is an enthusiasm and interest in this sector and preference will be given to applicants able to demonstrate their passion for developing their skills and experience within this sector.

Strong communication skills, the ability to prioritise effectively, work to tight deadlines and be highly organised and efficient as well as fostering and developing good relationships with clients are vital attributes.

What will you get in return?

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented and enthusiastic team who will be as invested in your career development as you are. You'll be supported by a collegiate approach, a firm wide commitment to paralegal development, and mentoring and supervision by leaders in their field. In return, you'll bring exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, strong drafting skills, be able to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure and build strong relationships, both internally and externally
