We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Assistant to join our IT team in Bristol on a part-time basis. This is a permanent role that will be 16 hours per week split over Mon-Fri (9:30am-5pm).

What you'll do

The main purpose of the role is to provide PA services including Calendar management, scheduling meetings and reviewing availability, travel and accommodation bookings for the IT Director and IT Management Team.

Amongst other responsibilities, you will also provide emergency IT Service Administrator cover in the event of an urgent joiner or leaver. As well as this, you will screen the IT Director's phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handle them when appropriate.

What we're looking for

You will have a background in a similar style of Assistant or PA role, ideally within a legal firm or professional services environment. You will also have a strong customer service ethic and demonstrable customer service skills, committed to delivering an exceptional standard of service. Being a team player committed to assisting colleagues wherever necessary is also essential in order to maximise the effectiveness of the entire IT department.

Also required:

  • Able to work autonomously and to schedule own resource appropriately.
  • Willing and able to be flexible in working practices and availability.
  • Be comfortable delivering difficult messages to both clients and the team.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership with a focus on getting the job done.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise.
  • Strong positive communicator: e.g. give clear instructions/understands and acts upon appropriate instructions.
  • Good thinker: e.g. clarify incomplete/unclear instructions before acting.
  • Always takes that extra bit of care over work to ensure documentation is kept 100% up to date and that processes are followed.
  • Excellent organisation ability.
