We have an exciting, new opportunity for a Commercial Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time, permanent role that can be based in our Bristol or London office.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and Pricing, the main purpose of the role will be to develop a financial reporting suite for financial management, profitability performance and investments.

You will also support in the development of new financial metrics and tools to support financial reporting, profitability growth, pricing and innovation to maximise profitability. Automating and simplifying current financial reporting and adapting to stakeholder usage will also be key.

The role holder will be required to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the firm, delivering strong financial business partnering to UK practice groups, as well as demonstrating a high level of professional expertise and insight into the commercial context of the firm.

What we're looking for

You will be a Finance professional with a background in legal and/or professional services sectors. This will be paired with proven experience in leading effective teams in complex business environments.

Also required:

  • Highly developed understanding of business strategy, supported by accountancy, MBA or other relevant business related qualification.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience and ability in understanding complex and diverse business requirements
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with an ability to write insightful financial and commercial commentaries based upon sound financial management
  • Expertise with Elite, Excel and Financial reporting tools is essential
  • Degree educated, with relevant professional qualifications.
