Job Description

Main Purpose of Job:

To work in our Corporate Department (Banking & Finance Team) alongside and supervised by our partners focusing on corporate lending, as well as acquisition and property finance, advising both lenders and borrowers. The primary role will be to work in the Banking and Finance team but the successful candidate will also have some experience of general corporate work, and be willing to support the wider Corporate Department as from time to time required. The work will be varied, interesting and challenging.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Assisting generally in relation to banking and finance transactions;
  • Drafting and advising on loan documentation, security and intercreditor agreement;
  • Drafting and advising on related conditions precedent documentation;
  • Dealing directly with the clients and clients’ other professional advisers;
  • Researching and reporting on legal topics as required;
  • Preparing emails of advice to clients;
  • Managing transactions generally to completion; and
  • Undertaking due diligence investigations and providing input into due-diligence reports;

Confidentially is of the utmost importance and you will ensure that the office is kept secure at all times, ensure complete confidentiality on all matters pertaining to the work undertaken on behalf of the Corporate Department. 


  • Directly responsible to the Partner of the Banking & Finance Team and all Partners of the Corporate Department.

Performance Standards:    

 To professionally and conscientiously fulfil the duties specified, maintaining at all times high standards of professional and personal presentation. To maintain at all times confidentiality on all matters appertaining to the Company.

Salary: £55-60,000 depending on relevance of experience
