Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Paralegal to join our highly regarded Property Litigation team in Bristol, rated by Chambers & Partners as a national leader outside London.

This is a full-time role and is available on a permanent basis.

The practice

The team advises on all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant litigation that arises from large-scale portfolio management, and also on property disputes such as option disputes, enforcement of development agreements, easements, general conveyancing/title problems and planning litigation.

We represent corporate clients in development disputes, litigation relating to energy and infrastructure, and landlord and tenant cases on a national basis and also act for a number of major housing and utilities clients, such as Barratt Homes, Western Power Distribution and Taylor Wimpey.

The role

You would support the three Paralegals and Legal Executive in the team on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Portfolio management for a number of landlord and tenant clients;
  • Coordinating billing processes;
  • Diary entries and ensuring that online systems are up to date;
  • Client reporting; and
  • Completing court documents.

Led by Leona Briggs (Partner) who is rated in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, the team currently comprises of 1 further Partner, 4 Associate Directors, 1 Senior Associate, 1 Associate, 1 Legal Executive, 1 Trainee Solicitor and 3 Paralegals.

Skills and experience

You will:

  • Have successfully completed a degree with a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) result;
  • Be accurate, with a good eye for detail;
  • Be organised;
  • Be diligent;
  • Be pro-active.

This vacancy is for a Junior Paralegal position, it is not an entry route to a training contract at Osborne Clarke LLP – the two recruitment processes are completely separate.
