We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team who has enjoyed unprecedented growth over the last 5 years, both in terms of revenue but also having welcomed a number of exciting new additions to the group at Partnership level. The practice

We have for many years worked on large international disputes and we work closely with our colleagues in our overseas offices, in particular our offices in Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands and the US. In the UK we work as one team across our London, Thames Valley & Bristol offices and get involved at all stages of a dispute, from the very early phases – to help resolve issues commercially – through to heavyweight and strategic litigation.

As well as advising on all aspects of the commercial litigation process, our team also handles disputes in a number of specialist areas including asset tracing and recovery, banking and finance, competition, environmental, health and safety, international enforcement, media and defamation, pensions, technology and the internet, and shareholder disputes. We are also recognised specialists in disputes work for CIS clients and were one of the first London firms into this market in 2005.

Over the last few years we have recruited partners with specialist expertise in a range of areas creating an ever-growing expert team: media/defamation, financial services disputes, product regulation, cross-border disputes, international arbitration as well as IP and insolvency specialists.

We are prominent in disputes in our core sectors of Technology & Digital Business, Energy & Natural Resources; and Financial Services. This fantastic sector knowledge adds considerable value to our clients’ work. We have an 'A list' client base and are trusted to deal with significant disputes by many household names.

The team

Led by Chambers rated Tom Ellis (Partner), the UK team is made up of over 50 lawyers in total. In London the team comprises 8 Partners, 4 Associate Directors, 4 Senior Associates, 4 Associates, 2 Trainee Solicitors and 1 Paralegal.

Technical skills and experience

Due to the technical nature of the practice, we are looking for evidence of a strong academic record and training ideally gained within a large regional or City Firm. As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate, although we will consider candidates with more experience.
