Asset Finance Lawyer (2-4 PQE) - Manchester
We would like to recruit a lawyer into our team with between two and four years of post-qualification experience to cover a mixed workload of transactional asset finance matters. The role would give real insight into the industry and would suit someone who likes to find practical solutions to solve complex problems. There are plenty of opportunities to work independently and as part of a team and all associates are provided with technical sector specific training and more general finance training.
We would like you to have:
- An excellent academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree
- At least two years of asset finance or project finance experience gained within a comparable legal environment
- Experience of working in a leading law firm and an understanding of how such firms operate
- Client relationship skills and with an aptitude to generate work
- A desire to undertake intellectually stimulating work
Our Asset Finance Team is a market leader in the asset finance industry and externally has been recognised for this (twice winning the Leasing Life Asset Finance Legal Provider of the Year). The Asset Finance Team is unique in the industry in the breadth and depth of experience it offers to clients. The team has plans for continued growth and is therefore looking to recruit to support this growth.
We undertake a variety of domestic and international equipment financing work across various sectors including energy, transport, health and digital. Our work typically focuses on structures involving structured leasing arrangements, debt finance, receivables financing and block discounting. Assets financed include aircraft and aircraft engines, energy generation equipment, IT equipment, medical equipment, plant and machinery, rolling stock, software and vehicles. We work across a spectrum of ticket sizes.
Our client base is second to none and is funder led. Our associates are encouraged to develop client relationships and client interaction is an important part of day to day life in the team. Interaction with other teams in the firm is also a regular feature of life in the team.
