An exceptional opportunity now exists to join the firm's international arbitration group in the litigation and arbitration department. We are seeking a charismatic and ambitious associate with a proven ability to develop clients and manage associates on international arbitration and public international law matters. The role will include:
Assisting with international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and public international law matters;
Drafting, reviewing and amending materials and documents such as pleadings, witness statements and correspondence;
Experience in the field of Public International Law advising on international treaty disputes, the law of the sea, human rights and international investment disputes;
Managing a variety of caseloads across multiple areas within the field of public international law and international arbitration;
Assisting with pitches on public international law matters;
Experience of managing large cases and associates; and
Proven business development skills are an advantage for the role.
Key skills and experience
Candidates should be admitted to practice law and have suitable international arbitration experience (commercial and investment treaty).
The successful candidate will have excellent written communication and drafting skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative.
As a successful Litigation Associate, you will be analytical and extremely organised. Candidates will ideally need to be fluent in another language.
You will be well versed in commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration and have experience across a variety of cases and courts, as well as advising clients in international arbitration disputes.
