JPC is looking to expand its Commercial Practice Group to incorporate a new company/commercial
We are looking for an ambitious solicitor with potential partnership credentials. The ideal person will
be working in a firm where perhaps their promotion is potentially stymied.
We do not currently have a full time dedicated company/commercial expert, instead relying on 2 part
time consultants. However, our commercial department is growing and we feel we have good referral
work within the department providing a perfect opportunity to develop and expand the firm's expertise
in that area.
Whilst a personal following is desirable it is not vital as there is work in the department. However, the
potential to attract and service clients is essential as the right candidate should be looking to develop
his/her own client base in the future; which the firm would support them to do.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:-
• Sale and purchase of private and public unlisted companies
• Sale and purchase of businesses
• Shareholder Agreements
• Drafting Articles of Association
• Partnership Agreements
• Limited Liability Partnership Agreements
• Distribution Agreements
• Agency Agreements
• Joint Venture Agreements
• Intellectual Property Agreements
• AIM Listed Companies
• Corporate M&As and MBOs
• Share Buybacks
• Corporate Reorganisations
• Private Equity Investment
• Service Agreements
• General Company Law and related Commercial Advice
Salary is negotiable but it is not anticipated that any performance related targets will be imposed in the
first 12 months.
