Knowledge Development Lawyer – Commercial, Data Protection and Technology
The strategic purpose of Knowledge Management team is to ensure that all those involved in delivering legal advice to clients have access to the knowledge and information they require to deliver a technically excellent, efficient service; to devise new and innovative ways of sharing that knowledge with clients as part of client relationship management; to input knowledge into the firm’s continuous process improvement initiatives around legal service delivery; and to ensure that the firm is harnessing new technology to support those objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark within our commercial team and the wider Firm. You will be part of a market leading Knowledge Management (KM) group at a firm where KM and Client Service is a strategic priority.
You will lead and help us build and maintain a Commercial law knowledge management fit for the times, taking into account technology and best practice developments in the UK and US legal markets, including in the delivery of knowledge and updates to the Practice Group, Firm, clients and the market.
Who we’re looking for
You will be at least 4 years PQE with experience of commercial, data protection and technology law. You will be familiar with using legal research tools as well as using Microsoft Word including styles and hyperlinks.
Familiarity with knowledge systems, including intranet, extranets and automation – ability to carry out non-routine IT operations such as uploading content onto intranet/mobile app is essential. Ideally you will have previous Knowledge Development/Management and training experience.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and excellent inter-personal skills. The gravitas to win the respect of the partners and be able to establish a rapport with all of the team members is necessary.
You will be creative in identifying ways in which we can leverage know-how and technology for the benefit of clients and the firm as a whole.
